Sidequest Story was born a humble comic of few aspirations. What began as a simple experiment on a multitude of aspects pertaining to comics (there’s like, so many things to take into consideration) has been slowly evolving into something more sophisticated (by comparison, at least).
As you may or may not have noted, Sidequest Story is mostly a comic about adventurous adventures in a fairly stereotypical fantasy adventure setting (that means you get to see things like castles and swords and dragons and sorcery and somesuch). There really isn’t that much to it, other than it being a silly and lighthearted (and maybe even funny, if you look at it from the right angle) comic that might just be might just be your sort of thing, so I’d advise you to maybe check it out (and if you already did, maybe you could read it again?).
Oh also, rather than words, Sidequest Story just chooses to go with this silly pictographic dialogue style (in that way, we’re kind of like Egyptians!), because who likes reading, right? (Seriously though, you should read a book every now and then, they’re actually pretty good sometimes.)
Though it started as an individual project, nowadays Sidequest Story is actually a collaboration between two (2!) people, whom you can learn all sorts of things about, if you can be bothered to scroll down this very page just a tiny little bit.
Hi, I’m Vicky, the one who does the drawing thing! I’ve been drawing for most of my life, but this is the first time I’m doing a big and public project like this, so I’m pretty excited! Let’s hope it goes better than the last few big projects I’ve done… *cough*

Also I am usually pretty open to critiques and other advice, so don’t hesitate to leave comments like that, I’m always striving to improve, that’s half the reason I started this comic in the first place!
I’m Dahamugo, and I’m the one doing the writing thing in Sidequest Story. To be fair, Vicky did all (well, most) of the writing in the earlier pages all by himself, and even after he gave me the writer’s hat, we still discuss all of the ideas before going forward with them, so I guess I mostly just come up with ideas and write the ‘scripts’ for the comics.
I’m also a hobbyist spare time coder, and for better or worse, I’m the one responsible for making the site layout not be terrible. I’ll let you be the judge on whether or not I did a good job there.
All in all, I’m just glad to be working on a project that doesn’t die after its first week of life or so, and I quite look forward to what we’ll be doing with Sidequest Story in the future.
